Prayer Ministry
Prayer is a vital part of our communication with God. It is one of the primary ways we develop our relationship with HIM and hear His Word. At Jasper UMC we have a Prayer Room, weekly prayer updates in the Sunday bulletin, intercessary prayer, a prayer calendar, and prayer chains, as well as some special services. Our Prayer Ministry is available to you to send prayer requests that we will faithfully lift up to the Lord.
PRAYER ROOM - The Prayer Room is available to anyone who wants to spend time in a quiet, designated place for prayer and meditation. It is open whenever the churchdoors are open. It is located off the narthex just past the left set of sanctuary doors.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER - Fervent prayers for the concerns submitted by the body each week.
PRAYER CALENDAR - The Prayer Calendar is a literal calendar on which persons sign their names pledging to spend special time on a pertinent prayer focus. The calendar is on a stand in the narthex with the current prayer focus displayed near it.
PRAYER CHAINS - The prayer chain is made up of warriors who will lift up any concern you may have. The telephone prayer chain is contacted with urgent or emergency events.
PRAYER REQUESTS - Do you have someone, or something to pray about? You can send us your prayer requests from our website.
Lay persons are vital to the prayer life at Jasper UMC. Some pray with the Pastor on Sunday mornings before the services. Some pray at the communion rail with those in need.
