Regional Outreach Ministries

Goshen Valley Foundation - Connie and John Blend of Atlanta, Georgia established the Goshen Valley Foundation in 1997.  By 1999, the Foundation had initiated and chartered the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, located on 400 acres in the Appalachian foothills of Northwest Cherokee County, Georgia. The purpose of the Ranch is to provide hope and a family-model home for boys who do not have either.

Boys and Girls Club of N. Georgia - To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. A Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences as well as hope and opportunity.  Click on the link and enter your zip code to find the nearest club.

Habitat For Humanity - Habitat for Humanity is a Christian, non-denominational housing ministry that builds and sells houses (no profit-no interest) to God's people in need. We are dedicated to the proposition that all people deserve safe, decent and affordable housing. Our goal is to try to change people's lives for the better, one house and one family at a time. We see the Habitat mission as an opportunity for local volunteers to put faith in Jesus Christ to work right there in Pickens County. You can be part of this ministry of "doing it unto the least of these" by doing carpentry work, fund raising, painting, public relations, yard work or other task that make the organization grow and succeed.
