Special Services

During Advent

 Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Services at 6:00 & 9:00 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the Sanctuary

Our traditional service of lessons, carols, and lights will be held at two different times on this special evening. The Chancel Choir, College/Career Ensemble and Allison Gantz will be performing during both services.  Each service ends with members of the congregation holding a lighted candle.  All members and friends are invited to participate in one or all of these beautiful times of worship.

During Lent

Ash Wednesday Service as the season of Lent begins

Holy Week Services - March 29 - April 2, 2010: 12:05 - service, 12:30 lunch

Maundy Thursday Service at 7:00 p.m. on the Thursday before Easter

Good Friday Service at noon on the Friday before Easter

Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. - Pickens High School Stadium.  In case of inclement weather - services will be held in the PHS Auditorium.

Easter Morning Services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

One simple avenue that can assist in tracking the seasons of the church year for worshippers, as well as providing a visual context for worship, is the use of Colors of the Church Year in the sanctuary.
