Student Ministry

Sunday Night:  Sunday night is starting back in full force on August 9th.  We are going to be going without curriculum for this year due to financial constraints.  Yah for the recession, right?  However, there is a plus side to this.  If there is something you want us to talk about, or you have a question, let me know and we will add it to the calendar of topics for this upcoming year.  The snack supper list has gone out.  If you have any problems, let me know.  Last and least, if you have any questions of what  we do on Sunday nights, feel free to stop by and stay the night!  We always love showing what the youth group does to parents.

Upcoming Trips:  For this next year, we are not doing a ski trip.  The money is not there to hold one.  But do not fret for we will again in the future, have that opportunity.  As for this year, we need to figure out which trips that we as a youth group can do.  Obviously we have River of Life and Spiritual Life Retreat, but do any of you have ideas for a third trip this school year, perhaps a Senior High trip that could fill in for Ski Trip?

Blessings, David Schutte

Sunday Night Youth
Gross games, great music, gregarious adult leaders, good messages and groovy dinners make up our Sunday night youth program.  We meet from 6-8 starting with a $3 snack supper and fellowship time before we start to shake it up to have a little fun with games and music.  After we get a chance to sit down and really study the Word of God.

Youth Bible Study
Starting on February 11th, the youth will be meeting every week in room 206 from 7-8 to really dig into God’s word.  This is going to be an opportunity for you to really understand what the scriptures mean and say!  Do not come if you are looking for a fun time, but if you want your faith to be rocked, this is a great opportunity.

Youth Choir
All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in the Youth Choir who perform Christian musicals and sing in various worship services. The highlight of the year is a week-long Summer Music Tour during which they share the Christian Message. Sundays, 5 - 6 p.m.

Youth Hand Bells
As an extension of the music ministry for a small group (10-13 hand bell ringers), youth have an opportunity to further their musical training. They perform at worship services as well as for special occasions including the Festival of Trees in Atlanta. Sundays, 4 - 5 p.m.

Dance
Dance is a wonderful visual art that enhances the beauty of our worship and youth/children's musicals. Currently, Allison Gantz is our featured dancer.
