lost but now saved

I know the right answers . Lost , found. Lately I’m unsure about the right answers... although I know they have not changed

Lost.....found

Young......old?

Jasper UMC family I am sorry I have not had a check in post last week or this week. I have a great deal on my heart and mind.

Plans are underway and work is being done to share in-person worship. I can not say when just yet but we are praying for sooner than later. Worship will continue on Facebook and YouTube regardless.

This Sunday, May 31 is Pentacost Sunday, the day we celebrate the birthday of the Christian Church. Pentacost is often celebrated by wearing red to worship so let's wear red on Sunday and post a photo of your famliy.

Beginning Sunday, June 7 we will air videos celebrating our 2020 High School Graduates. These videos will continue through the next week on Facebook and YouTube. Eric and Paul have done a great job to find a way to celebrate our graduating seniors! Take time to enjoy and share your congratulations with our seniors!

Finally continue to pray for one another and for the body of Christ as we continue to share the gospel even though the church building is empty. Remember we have not closed, only relocated to online expressions of worship. Prayers are still being said and shared, love is still being witnessed and experienced and lives are still being touched and changed. This is what church is about, not a building.

I love and miss you all,
Pastor Greg

Giving and Stewardship

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in My house. Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” (Malachi 3:10)

How can we pray for you?

Shared Prayers

Lord Jesus we believe, help our unbelieve. We have prayed for C’s healing, but something is blinding our eyes that we can’t see the fruit of our prayers.

For you tell us that if we ask, we shall receive, that if we knock a door shall be opened. My knucles are bleeding from the knocking and my throat is dried from so much asking.

Yet you are merciful Lord. You feel our pain. Still, our daughter is sick. Why can’t we see the miracle? Why are we so blind? All we need is the faith of a mustard seed. Surely we have met this requirement.

I turn this prayer over to my brethren, that they may pray for C. That she may be healed from her mastocytosis and all its symptoms. Complete restoration of mental and intellectual capacity.

Grant also that C may retain her child like trust and love for/in Jesus our Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen

Please pray for me that my relationship with God will get better. Please pray that I will not turn away from Jesus Christ. Please pray for me that I will not worship another God or take up another religion. Please pray that my love for Jesus Christ will grow.

We travel to Virginia on Jan 29 to meet with the transplant team to be considered for placement on the lung transplant list

I have been getting a lot of medical tests done for a whole bunch of things. All the tests have been pointing towards cancer.

I’ll be having my first knee replacement surgery at Piedmont Mountainside in Jasper on Tuesday, Sep. 3. Please pray for the team that will perform the surgery and those who will support me throughout my therapy. I need prayers as well for a good and speedy recovery.

In Christ,

I just wanted to let Reverend Greg Meadows and everyone else that works and attends JUMC know blessed I am to have found God again. My two oldest kids have loved coming to VBS and everyone has always had welcoming open arms. Everyone truly at this church have moved me recently in a time when my family I have needed it most. My husband works a lot and is a paramedic and I’m a teacher and so I’m at home with my 3 boys a lot (which can be hard at them but wouldn’t change it for the world) Sometimes we don’t go out as much to prevent mental breakdowns in public settings. The last two sermons have moved me and spoke to me about judgment and about having enough. These are areas I struggle with constantly. Thanks again for being so loving and understanding!!! 🙏🏻

Good morning, since gerard and I moved my health has declined. I’m having stage 2 kidney disease, my liver is messed up due to medications, my parathyroid glands are needing to be removed. Please keep me in your prayers. Also gerard to.
Thank you and we miss y’all
