Our Stewardship Journey is going well! We will be celebrating the time of commitment on Sunday, October 25 with one service at 10:45AM, followed by a covered dish meal and fellowship time. I pray as we have shared this time you have been in pray concerning what your family’s commitment will be for 2016. Last Sunday, October 18 we considered the words of Psalm 104 as a reminder that When we acknowledge God’s worthiness stewardship is not a hard thing to deal with and the commitment card cannot hold our response! we can give, our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. We are so blessed by all that God has done, is doing and will do. We experience God’s love and grace all around us in the midst of creation. I shared about the gift of seeing the spider webs covered in dew glistening in the sunlight as I drove from Blue Ridge to Jasper. As I drove by it appeared as if one was turned off as the next two began to glow. These moments of blessings remind us of the worthiness of God. The fact that filling out a commitment card is an opportunity to give back for all God has already given us! It is not a requirement, it is not a fee, but it is a chance to be a blessing to and for God! We also considered that sometimes the world does a better job giving back and the church struggles. Watch the video and give it some thought. When we acknowledge God’s worthiness stewardship is not a hard thing to deal with and the commitment card cannot hold our response!
