MAUNDY THURSDAY DRAMA AND COMMUNION SERVICE – Thursday, April 2nd at 7:00pm. This year’s Maundy Thursday Worship Service promises to be a powerful service of drama, music and Communion. The Chancel Choir, Josh Golden, Susannah Melton and members of our Youth Choir have special music prepared to usher us into the final hours of our Lenten season. Nursery will be provided.
Help needed – Draping the cross in front of the church. Colors change from purple to black on Good Friday morning and then to white on Easter Sunday morning. No ladder needed for tall person. The Living Cross – Please bring fresh flowers with you on Easter Sunday and place them on the cross. If your yard is bursting forth with azaleas, daffodils, dogwood blooms, wildflowers and greenery, bring a “bunch” with you and place them on the Easter cross.
Volunteers Needed – 2 more volunteers are needed to help assist in cooking breakfast for the Easter Sunrise Service. If interested, please call Roxanne at 706-253-2100, ext 25.
Win-Win Project – Please help support our Youth Choir as they get ready for their Summer Music and Missions Tour. Contact Roxanne for the names of Youth Choir members who can help you around your house, your yard, and wash your car! All checks can be written to the church and will be put into the youth’s account for the Music Tour. The tour costs $350 and the youth try to raise most of the money themselves. Contact Roxanne at 706-253-2100.
Senior Enrichment Fund: – The Seniors of our church play a vital role and they enjoy monthly outings throughout Georgia. These outings are a way for them to connect in a special way. Some seniors are not able to go due to financial constraints. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please write “Senior Enrichment Fund” on your check.
Pastor’s Pot Challenge: Pastor Chip needs your help with this event! Sat. May 2 at 11:30. Location: Our church. Fundraiser for CARES. Contact Pastor Chip at chip.wilson@ngumc.net if you can help on our church’s team.
Due to our increased attendance, we will now have a shuttle from Eagle Park to the church for the 9:45 am and 11:00 am services. If you are interested in helping on a rotation driving the bus once a month, contact Jack Knight at 770-735-2364. If you are able to park in the lower parking lot by the basketball goal, please do to allow room for our visitors.
