Adult Ministries

Jasper United Methodist Church offers an ever-growing variety of small group encounters for adults.

Men’s Ministry

United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men will be a creative supportive fellowship of men, who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily His will. Its primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. Work groups are formed to provide ministry to the congregation. All men in our congregation are welcome to become a part of this mission and ministry team. UMM meet 2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m. in Sanctuary.

Women’s Ministry

Jasper United Methodist Women

The Seekers Circle from 5:30 – 7:00, the Dorcas Circle from 6:45- 8:00 with combined announcements and refreshments at 6:45. The UMW is organized for Ministry and Mission and sponsor projects like the Sharing our Best” cookbook, Marble Festival Road Race, Easter Egg Hunt, church picnic and more. All ladies are welcome. Student-Led Movement

We are a Student-Led Movement serving Middle and High School students in Jasper, Ga! This is not just a regular ministry, it is a movement where you come as you are and grow in your relationship with Jesus, a safe place to open up, and fellowship with the people you experience life with!

Elevate:

Is our weekly gathering open to ALL youth aged students from 6th-12th grade along with any of their friends or any student that hears of us and wants to come! This is a time for fellowship through dinner, games, prayer, testimonies, discussions, & messages from God’s Word centered around the Gospel. This is a very meaningful time of encouragement, motivation & spiritual nourishment for the teens before going out into the world and doing what God has called us to do.

Life Groups:

Meet Sunday evenings at the end of Elevate. One of the top priorities for this Ministry is to get 100% of our students into a small group! Life groups are truly growth environments, providing encouragement from others, teaching from the Bible where questions can really be asked & answered, encouraging accountability to live out what is learned, and quality relationships with solid Christian leaders. These groups are one of the most important opportunities we offer!

Bible Study:

Is all about keeping our faith alive in the middle of a draining week. ALL youth aged 6th-12th grade students, are welcome! This is a time to refill our spirit with intentional worship through scripture and applying it to their walk with Jesus while building community with the students around them.

Prayer Breakfast:

Is a time for our high schoolers (9th-12th) to come together before school starts to have a morning devotion/Bible study to kick off their day. Fellowship happens while we eat a wonderful breakfast from Bojangles! A ride from the restaurant to school is provided if needed!

Retreats:

We go on several retreats through out the year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer). These are open to all ages (6th-12th) except for the High School Ski Retreat that we go on over MLK Weekend.

and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

(Mark 10:14)

Vacation Bible School

For many families VBS is the highlight of Summer Church activities. Bible School is traditionally held the first half of the Summer for children 4 yrs – 6th grade. VBS is an exciting week of Bible based themes that are fun and relevant for children today. The curriculum allows children and leaders to explore through music, crafts, Bible Study, recreation, fellowship and snacks. This is a free ministry to the whole community. Think back on your memories of Vacation Bible School…Aren’t those memories special?

Preschool Program

We believe every child is special and every child is unique. Our main objective is to provide a positive atmosphere which will promote the social, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth of children. Learning experiences appropriate for the developmental age of each group are provided daily. Two, three, and four year programs are available September through May. For more information, contact Deborah Goodrum 706-253-2109
