First Christmas Stories: Elizabeth
Advent is here! That time when we anticipate, look forward too, get excited about, the birth of Jesus once again! Advent is just filled with so many wonderful opportunities to share and show God’s love and grace. This year we will share in the stories of many of the folks found in the First Christmas Story. This first Sunday of Advent we heard some of Elizabeth’s story and the thoughts that God is making life out of the barren places and God bring us life more abundantly. God does so many amazing things every day and too often we miss the beauty. Advent is the celebration of God’s hope shared with the world in the form of a new born baby boy. A baby that changed the world! The birth of Christ brings life to a broken and barren world and that life is more abundant because of his birth! So as we journey together during this Advent season headed to Christmas I pray we will experience God’s hope and that we will then become examples of God’s hope for the world. Don’t miss the little moments of beauty God brings to the day to day. Enjoy Elizabeth’s story and feel her hope.

As we celebrate the Advent season, anticipating the birth of Jesus, it is a great time to do something for the North Georgia Pregnancy center here in Jasper. The North GA Pregnancy center share God’s love and grace with so many families here in our community and beyond. This year let’s celebrate the birth of Christ by bringing in diapers to donate. Any size and any number bring them in and place them in the baby bed in the entrance area. Let’s fill our entrance area and share God’s love with families. We will deliver the diapers after the first of January 2017. Thank you in advance for your support of this wonderful ministry in our community.
Sunday, December 4 one service at 11:00am for the Christmas musical, “Let There Be Christmas”. Come celebrate the season with this wonderful presentation of music and dance.
Sunday, December 11 Join us for the Third Sunday in Advent as we read Matthew 1:18-25 and hear the story of the Innkeeper from the First Christmas.
